App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Detox Your Dome LLC ("Detox Your Dome," "we," "us") collects through the Detox Your Dome mobile app, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

This policy covers the app only. Purchases made through our online store at detoxyourdome.com are covered by our separate Store Privacy Policy at detoxyourdome.com/policies/privacy-policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Email address, to create and identify your account.
  • Display name, optional, set during onboarding.
  • Detox goals, optional categories you choose during onboarding (for example, skincare or home cleaning).
  • Research questions, the questions you type in the Research tab and the answers you receive, saved so you can see your session history.
  • Terms acceptance, the date and version recorded when you agree to our Terms of Service.

Information collected automatically

  • Scan history, the ingredient and fabric lists you scan, stored on our servers so your history is available to you.
  • Subscription status, your plan (free or Pro), managed through RevenueCat.
  • Device information, such as device type, operating system version, and app version.
  • Error logs, technical details when the app runs into a problem, collected through Sentry.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect precise location data.
  • We do not access your contacts or other apps.
  • We do not collect biometric data.
  • We do not track your activity outside the app.
  • We do not permanently store photos you take of labels. Photos are sent to Anthropic to read the ingredient or fabric text, and we do not save them.

How we use your information

  • To provide the app: sign you in, sync your scan and research history, and deliver Pro features to subscribers.
  • To manage subscriptions through RevenueCat.
  • To generate AI explanations and answers: ingredient text from your scans, and the questions you ask in the Research tab, are sent to the Anthropic API to produce plain-language explanations and answers. Please don't include personal details, such as health information, in your research questions.
  • To improve text recognition: extracted scan text helps us improve how accurately the app reads labels.
  • To fix bugs, using error logs.
  • To communicate with you: send feature updates if you opted in, and respond to support questions.

Service providers and where your data is stored

  • Supabase (secure PostgreSQL database, US region) stores your account profile, scan history, research history, detox goals, display name, and terms acceptance record.
  • RevenueCat manages subscription status and purchase validation, under RevenueCat's privacy policy.
  • Sentry receives error logs and crash reports, under Sentry's privacy policy.
  • Anthropic receives label photos, ingredient text, and research questions to read labels and generate responses. Anthropic processes this data under its commercial API terms, which do not allow it to be used to train Anthropic's models.
  • Apple processes subscription payments. We never see your payment card details.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data or share it for targeted advertising. We share it only:

  • With the service providers above, only as needed for them to provide their services.
  • For legal reasons, when required by law or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • In a business transfer: if Detox Your Dome LLC is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the successor, which will be bound by this policy.

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it. We may keep anonymized, aggregate data that can't identify you to improve the app.

Your rights

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: update your profile in the app, or contact us to fix inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account), which permanently removes your data.
  • Portability: request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Marketing opt-out: stop marketing messages at any time by contacting us.

We will not treat you differently for using these rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

California residents also have the right to know what personal data we collect, use, and share; to delete it; and to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal data). Email app@detoxyourdome.com with "CCPA REQUEST" in the subject line.

EU, EEA, and UK residents have the rights to access, correct, erase, and port their data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. We process your data based on your consent and to perform our contract with you (providing the app). Email app@detoxyourdome.com with "GDPR REQUEST" in the subject line.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard protections, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), database access controls, and security monitoring. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to or stored in our systems.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as we add features or as laws change. For material changes, we will notify you in the app and ask you to accept the updated version before you continue using it. The effective date at the top shows the current version.
